Here Robert examines the head of a walking stick he's making out of some very old and hard Oak wood. This is a very custom job as the stick is cut to the exact length specified by the client. The area where he holds the stick will be the balance point. With little or no effort the walking stick becomes a formatible weapon. The placement of the two upper branches converts the walking stick to a suppoet one may use to lean on, should the need arise.

This is an interesting peice of Pecan Wood it is as yet unfinished but it's close. The hole goes all the way through the peice. The wood grain is in a nearly circulat pattern as if the top had been twisted adout 90 degrees. The peice needs more sanding and a hand rubbed oil finish.

Here's another interesting piece. One branch has already been cut back and sanded round. The grain has a slight twist to it just below the cut and sanded branch. The final color of the wood will be slightly darker because if the oil finish, or ir requested it can be left unfinished. These are all works on progress.

This is wood, not a rock, again the item will be finished to order. About the best I can say here is, "It's a conversation piece."
This is the ever popular "Egg Shape" complete with dark yoke. These little beauties when sanded very smooth and with a hand rubbed oil finish make a striking addition to any coffee table or can be carried about like a pet rock. The beauty of carrying this little pet is, it's light weight and the more it's handled the brighter the finish and the smoother it gets. Buy two, so the one can keep the other company

SUNSET AT ROBERT'S PLACE

Here Robert holds an interesting s walking stick The top end is rounded and there is a grip cut into the top of the stick. The rounded top fits neatly into the palm of the hand while the undercut allows for a firm grip and good control. The stick should be tapered a bit more and must yet be cut to the customers specified length. The wood is Cedar and it has a red heart. The heart shows through at the head. This ia all hand worked with only a minimum use of power tools

PICTURES TAKEN OF SOME OF ROBERT'S WORKS IN PROGRESS
The finished product. Robert did all the hard work and shaped this branch while all I did was to put the finish on it. It's a beautiful piece of work and I'm proud to carry it down the street with me.
